“PADRE” USA WRESTLING CLUB

 

The “Padre” wrestling club is a sanctioned and licensed charter club of USA Wrestling. The club is run March-September with open mats throughout this time at Serra High School in San Mateo, CA. The club is open to all boys over the age of 8 who want to learn more about the sport of wrestling. Membership fees are $75 per year. The fee includes a USA Wrestling card, Insurance, gear, BBQs and subscription to USA Wrestling Magazine.



Competitor’s Membership
Valid for kids, cadet, F.I.L.A. Cadet, junior, F.I.L.A. Junior World, university, senior, masters’-level competition at all competition levels, and club practices. To enter an USA Wrestling sanctioned event as a competitor you must have a current competitor’s card. Membership benefits include secondary, non-duplicating sports accident insurance provided by an outside carrier. There is sports accident supplemental benefits provided to USA Wrestling members who participate in limited non-sanctioned events. This insurance coverage includes a deductible, co-payment provisions and other conditions of the policy (details will be provided to club administrators); a one-year subscription to USA Wrestling; the privilege to compete and take advantage of events, camps, clinics, international exchanges, and club programs; discounts on wrestling gear, equipment and apparel; and other national discount programs as they become available.

USA Wrestling is the National Governing Body for the Sport of Wrestling in the United States and, as such, is its representative to the United States Olympic Committee. Becoming a member of the USA Wrestling is easy. Just contact your state association membership director and he or she will provide you with the necessary forms and information on becoming a member. In addition, your membership director or state chairperson will be able to provide you with information on state level programs and opportunities offered.
